Re: Chieftain Mk V scratch build
At the moment I am thinking Centurion because many of the parts are common to the Chieftain, and I have just ordered the 1/35 kit.....

As I don’t possess Alwyn’s skills & confidence I decided to replicate the basket parts as per the 1/35 kit, I didn’t have much 2mm brass bar in stock so I’ve just made a couple of pieces. A little bit of dressing to do & trimming to size.midlife306 wrote:oh, I’m on with marking out to make the storage baskets..
This solder paste is very handy!

Looking good Wayne
and now to the final piece of the build, the barrel lock - the rest is painting/finishing
Job done.

Re: Chieftain Mk V scratch build
Hi Alwyn,
It’s quite heart wrenching seeing the last part of the build......
Thank you ever so much for sharing all your designs for this unique build, it’s much appreciated
If anyone else fancy’s a Chieftain, it’s all here, I use an Anet A8 printer that can be bought for around £100 nowadays, I’ve only ever seen one manufacturer of a 1/16 Chieftain & their prices start at £500+.
The beauty of having your own printer is you can make the model at ANY scale you want!
Cheers
