Land Mines

Post by Afrikakorps »

G'Day fellas,
I was thinking about IR tank battling and wondered if anyone had ideas for 1/16 land mines ?
I know that Tamiya have something along this line for their 1/35 rc tanks.

My thoughts are that it would have to be IR compatible, cause damage like an IR hit, or completely stop the tank.

I am interested in your thoughts on this. o-

Cheers

Why not have a series of switches/pressure pads hidden under various area's all tied back to a single sound unit with various large explosion sound's recorded on it ,also perhaps tied into a large flash unit.
If on the battle day a minefield or road area is notified (or not) ;D to battlers and when a tank activates the sound /light that tank is out full stop. >:<.
The wiring would be pretty simple as all the switches would wired in series back to a single control unit to switch on the noise/light.
opp's you said get off the road

Like one year ago I did real landmines, triggered with the weight of my tank and with real explosives inside. Once I put too much and I blew the track, the wheel and half suspension arm.

It was very easy to make them, it was with a small case full of powder, with a switch inside. Away from it a battery connected. So once the tank pressed the switch, we had a small short circuit and a big BUM.

Then I realized I did not want to have explosives at home with three small children and I abandoned the project before I set the house in flames.
