Pretty near the end as far as printing parts is concerned. Need to order some brass rod for the turret, the metal lower hull/wheels/tracks etc will be on its way soon-ish, and I need to get six plastic KV1 tracks from somewhere. Once it is all done, and I know that it all works, I might post up the Openscad code for the whole thing.

The fuel tanks are now done. I had to re-do the exhausts (third time) so that the drum supports would fit and align, and even with all of the faffing about I will be lucky if the turret has 360 rotation. The barrel and mantlet are 'just' going to hit the tanks, but I can live with that. Empty drum racks will also go on the rear. Will then need to primer the latest parts and glue the fuel tanks down, but house viewings and house hunting are getting in the way of progress.

I am always highly critical of my own work, never stop thinking that I could have done better, so thanks for the compliment. I look at previous builds when I do a new one, and then start thinking that I could rework what I have done before to improve them, it's an eternal circle of seeking perfection. When I look at what some forum members can do with brass and styrene I am just lost for words...

I've been a bit pushed for time this week with house hunting, estate agents etc. It looks like I will be moving to Wales within a couple of months.

Having done all of the printing of parts and gluing them on, I decided to give it a brush coat as a base colour. There are always places that an airbrush cannot reach, and it's a lot easier to spray over a base coat than primer, It's starting to look the part now. I usually cut the front track guards off a tank as I like that open track look, so I won't be adding them to this one.

As those in my local club will be aware, on Saturday I decided, for no good reason to press a button on my pc. To cut a very long story short, I managed to erase every photo, file, and anything else that was stored on there. That includes everything I ever designed on Openscad. My only saving grace is that I had printed everything that I had designed to date on this project, the IS3.

I was intending to make it available on the forum, but the whole damned thing is now lost forever it seems. I have run file recovery programs for hours on two pc's and can only get back a few pics, some Arduino stuff, and some other files. There is no sign of all of the other items that I was hoping to retrieve.

If I can't find a program that will find the files, it's back to square one. I did upload some STL's to Pinshape and Thingiverse, so those are still there thank goodness.

That's just horrible. I know how much work you put into that stuff. I don't know much about computers, but I think if I could remember the names of the files I might try searching them in the little search box that comes up when you click the start button. Some of the files I brought over from Fusion 360 don't show up anywhere else on my PC, but if I search STL files in that little search box when you hit the start button then they all come up.

Hope you get it figured out.
