I did mine in green but seen them in blue too. No expert so you will have to go digging!

I have been told they are blue. If the distance is correct from tank to tank one would see 4 little lights, about 20-25 meters distance, if farther back they look like on light. I could be wrong and if so others will chime in.
Be well,

The king tiger also had a rear red light, just under the left track tensioner.

Re: External lighting on a King Tiger
Good morning,
Double check that red light recommendation. The Tiger 1 had a small red reflector at this location. I believe that this was carried over to the Tiger II. ( Some modelers like to add a red light at this location instead of a reflector. I think that those look cool when lit ;o)

Re: External lighting on a King Tiger
It has been a few years since I did research on one of my detailed KT builds. I actually did a light up aber PE kit on it. The real thing is green with a small red line in the center. Here is a pic of one on a hetzer but the unit is the same on the KT.

And here is a wired kit you may still be able to find around or like I say check out aber kit and use your own rice bulb LED
The way it was used was if you saw a solid green line you were good but if you got close enough to see the red in the middle you were too close and need to back off!

You might be right, it indeed might be a reflector, lol... But anyway Id install a red light there. In my king tiger I installed a 3mm red led and looks scale and great.PainlessWolf wrote:Good morning,
