Gary, The bay window I found was crap in comparison to the one Kevin did, I printed Kevin's today with 0.1mm layer height, it looks spot on, I'll feel terrible taking the soldering iron to it lol

Re: Rathaus
How long was your print time? When I first put the file into Cura I had it set for .1 mm thickness and 30 mm speed, and it said it would take 19 hours to print. I upped the thickness to .15 and the speed to 60 mm and that got it down to a six hour print.midlife306 wrote:Gary, The bay window I found was crap in comparison to the one Kevin did, I printed Kevin's today with 0.1mm layer height, it looks spot on, I'll feel terrible taking the soldering iron to it lol

Re: Rathaus
Mine took 11 hours.
Let me know how it turns out at 60mm/sec, you probably won’t need the soldering iron trick, it will probably fall to bits under gravity lol

Re: Rathaus
When I pulled it off the printer this morning it looked pretty good. I think all the support material will come off with no problem and the window bars seem to be strong enough. I think the cr-10 can handle higher print speeds than your printer. Once you get a CR 10 of your own you'll see exactly what I mean.

Re: Rathaus
Here it is with the railings, spikes at the front should go on top but I think the railings look good as they aremidlife306 wrote:Here’s the product of 40 hours of printing.
I found the files on Thingiverse & scaled them up to 249 percent to give the columns a scale height of 7 feet, hopefully I’ll get the railings printed after work tomorrow.
