sure thing that battery will work,

and the battery goes in the underside in a screw in compartment, apart from the HL Tiger 1 which has a pull back compartment cover anyway all the same the batt goes in the bottom.

all 7.2 v batteries should work.

and soldering, it helps if a wires breaks to be able to solder, but if a board burns out most of us just get a new one, becuase in proortion to the tank they are not that expensive,

hope this helps,

All 7.2 Volt batteries with a Tamiya power connector will work. The Deans type connector won't plug into the HL tank battery connector.

Those are the chargers and batteries I use. The 3800mAh packs should drop straight in all of the tanks, the 4200mAh are a bit of a squeeze lengthwise, you may have to cut a slot in one end of the battery compartment to allow the wires to fit.

Check All-Batteries.com's Ebay site http://stores.shop.ebay.com/All-Battery-Center__W0QQ_armrsZ1 they sometimes do some really good bundle deals like 2 batteries plus the charger for $50
