tiger 1 with a difference

Post by tiger3818 »

here is my sons tiger1 what's so different too all the others well
to look at is it a heng long or is it a tamiya this is the different bit the chassis is a tamiya the gun recoil is a tamiya
but the electronics is heng long and so is the transmitter.
the problem came for gun elevation with tamiya's unit working differantly i came up with the idea of using the bb gun and some
guess work see pic 0940
and the other mod i did was to place the on off switch in the commanders back
works a treat

forgot to add that the tiger is also running 2 speakers on the rx18 as yet i have had no problems.
i bought 2 speakers at 8ohms i think, to be sure check the speaker in the heng long tank.it has to be the same ohms rating
and wire the 2nd speaker to the wires on the first speaker.
;)

Looking good Phil. Did you manage to get the Tamiya recoil to work with the HL RX18 OK?

Cheers
