Taigen to Clark Conversion
I am converting my Taigen M41 Bulldog to a Clark board so I can fit wibblywobbly's IR turret. Next to the smoker connections on the Taigen RX18 is a 2 pin socket for the rear light, described in one diagram as Tank Back-up Lamp. Where do I connect this on the Clark board, please?

Hi there on the Clark tk60 there's a dedicated pin for it. If it's the tk22 or 24 I'm not sure.

Tanks alot....

Re: Taigen to Clark Conversion
I will have another look.
Edit: Had a look - no spare socket on the TK22. The TK60 has a whole rank of light sockets labelled with an L - I guess that's partly why it's more expensive. The only thing I can think of at present is to wire the rear lights in parallel with the front lights. It's the first time I have thought that rewiring with a Clark board is actually a retrograde step, though it is outweighed by the other benefits, I suppose.

Good morning ( and of course, Happy Chocolate Bunny Ears Fools Day )
SS1947, I pulled the TK22 out of my MATO M36B1 and replaced it with a TK24. That TK22 had the light plug socket and MATO had the rear lights plugged in there ( or so I think ) I will check and verify in the build thread.
regards,
Painless

Thanks Painless. I could well be missing something, not being very knowledgeable about these thing.

Re: Taigen to Clark Conversion
Good afternoon Richard, I also had the mato tank destroyer with the factory fitted tk22, the rear lights I believe were
plugged in to the smoker switch outlet, no smoke unit was fitted, other than this you maybe can connect to the headlights
regards john

Good morning again!
John has the right of it. There was no smoker used on my M36B1 so I used the extra plug for the rear lights. Have fun with your Build!

Painless

Re: Taigen to Clark Conversion
Thank you both. I rarely use a smoker, but have not made a final decision on this one. At least I have 2 options.

tap into the front light connection ( + use a 200ohm resistor)silversurfer1947 wrote:I will have another look.

As Stian says, you can use a 200Ohm resistor in parallel like diagram below.
