Pz III or IV Exhaust muffler

Post by capt midnight »

Does anyone have one of these to spare? All I need is the mufflers, not the shield. It's for my Stug III Ausf A I'll be starting on soon.

Thanks!

The plastic Mufflers have been out of stock for quite some time and I'm not sure when they'll make more. You might be able to get a metal pair of Mufflers from Mato.

That's my next step. I was looking for a plastic one as I wanted to have the smoke coming from the exhaust pipes. Thought I would check and see if anyone had a spare to spare! :haha:

I've been looking for that very thing for about two years now. One guy keeps telling me he has one, but still hasn't sent it. I had the same idea about making the exhaust functional through the pipes. Did you see what I did with my Tauchpanzer?

That's the tank I got to use for my Stug III Ausf A. I liked the hatches better and thought it would be easier to work with. I found the correct drive sprockets and idlers on ebay and have them on had already. I noticed that the A's had the older style exhaust and sadly that is the one thing that I do not have. If I can't find one I can always order o a metal one from the east.

Max, I really love what you did with the Tauch exhaust.   Are those for some sort of fording set up? I was looking at mine and that's all I could come up with. If you need any spares of the exhausts or the doors that go over the air vents, let me know. Not planning on using mine.

Thanks!

It chose me!

I used to not really care for them, but the more I look at them, the more I like them! Nothing like a Stug loaded down like a gypsies caravan.

I did up a couple of Stug III's a while back, then came across Painless's Ausf B and loved it. I've been gathering the pieces to do up an Ausf A, you just don't see too many of the earlier ones.

Thanks, Dave, That is pretty cool. IS it a later model exhaust? I don't think that I've come across that style before.

The one I'm looking for is the standard flat twin mufflers. That looks to be what the Ausf A's had on them.

Thanks again!
