Mother board for tigar that’s Lopo safe??
Does anyone know of a mother board that can handle a lipo battery being connected to it? And if so what voltage battery pack is suitable.

The documentation on my IBU2U says it will take up to 3S Lipo, but I run mine on 2S.

Open Panzer board will take 2S or 3S batteries, it is good for 7-15V

The stock V2 MFU from Taigen is also set up to handle 2S lipo. As far as I know, the Clark series and the Tamiya electronics are set for 7.2 nicads or nimhs or 7.4 lipo or li-ion and won't handle 12 volts (11.1 3S). I believe elmod will handle 3S but I'm not positive about that. I'm sure someone here will know.

Here's the V2 in my Panzer III, running on a Nanotec 2200 Mah lipo battery
This tank is still for sale, BTW.
It drives just great, even though that's not shown in the video.

Re: Mother board for tigar that’s Lopo safe??
Some years ago one of us reported a burned out new CLARK board while using a LI-PO,
The accepted advise was with a new CLARK board use a NI-MH or a NI-CAD for the boards first use and then use a LI-PO,
It appears by doing it that way it "Hardens" the new board,
I don't know if it is true but every new board that I use always gets hooked upto a NI-MH for its first use and then I go to a LI-PO and I have never had a burned out board.
