Rathaus

Post by midlife306 »

Hi All,
Gary tipped me off about some STL files for sale on RCtanksAustralia.
They are for a 1/16 German Town Hall or Rathaus.

The modular construction will allow you to build it as big or small as you like.

Enjoy!

Hi Tom, sure I’ll come to the next meet, when is it? I’ve been keeping an eye out on here for the last couple of months but I’ve not seen any info.
The print quality isn’t bad for a £150 printer, it would look awesome printed on Alwyn’s Creality though
I’m having a busy day today printing damaged window frames lol

Those are a great set of files, and only five bucks (USD, maybe three quid) and Kevin will provide updates as we go. He's already sent me additional files for wall trim. Kevin has some great files for very, very cheap (like 99 cents Australian for tank traps) and also some great files for free, like the Jerry Cans. I bought a set of Rathaus files myself so you can expect that porch to show up on several buildings.

You can get the rathaus files here

and all the rest here

Rathaus

Well, here’s how far I’ve got today on the upper floor, the plan is to have 6 windows, so 4 in place & another 2 to go. I still need to print a block to go between 2 windows & the corner piece is printing now...

The bottom half of the building is going to be made out of 12mm mdf with 1mm plasticard used as the rendering.
I’ve also ordered a couple of 125mm Swastika flags to go either side of the door, thanks Gary for the link to them.
It’s going to be a big bugger Image

I think I'm going to have to build two, one in ruins and one not. And the possibilities for other buildings are vast. If anyone else is interested in doing buildings I'm working on other window and door frames. You'd be amazed at what's available at places like thingiverse.
