I think you mean early & late versions.
For me the best way to spot the difference is the cupola, the early has a hinged hatch & viewing slits around the outside diameter, the late has hatch the shape of an upside down wok that is on a vertical shaft that pivots out of the way & the viewing ports look like fabricated loops.
Well it makes sense to me.
Lots of other differences as well.
Cheers

Tom go to ---
http://www.forgebeartanks.com
Click on "Store" then Click on "Electrical" and you will find,---
The Taigen Transmitter, the Taigen V2 control board and the Taigen Speaker and Sound Module all in one box complete with the necessary wiring and instructions (Actually it is a simple matter of putting the plugs in the pre-marked sockets)at a very good price (There are two boxed Taigen Transmitters for sale, the one you want is the first one on the top left side of the page.),
And there is the "Tarr"smoker plus Smoke oil both of which I recommend although do read about the differences between each "Tarr" Smoker to ensure you are buying the one most suited to your particular needs.
Other wonders and delights to empty your far too full pockets are readily available

the Same question I keep asking is can I buy a v2 board on its own ?? I want to use my spectrum dx7s as my transmitter. I have heard it’s possable but form what your saying I have to buy the whole set up just to get a v2 board.
I am so confused by what people are saying to me.
With the v2 can you just bind directly to it or would I still need to install a spectrum receiver and connect that to the v2 board??

Yes you will need a Receiver to match the Spectrum to the V2 Board,
If you go to
http://www.rctank.de
you can find a V2 by itself for sale, The V2 will need binding to your Transmitter/Receiver but it comes with a pamphlet showing you how it is done.
Something you will notice is that when using an aftermarket transmitter with a V2 board is that you lose the Ability to operate the Turret MG,
Personally I would buy the boxed Taigen V2 set because that way you have so much more potential that you lose with using just a V2 board coupled to your own Transmitter,
The Speaker that comes with the boxed set is much better than the earlier model speaker and the Sound Module reproduces a good Tiger 1 engine sound and you can select other sound modules that carry the engine sounds of other Tanks if you decide to put your V2 into another Tank,
Of course the Engine is not the only sounds on the module,
You get The main Gun "Loading and unloading" as well as tracks and Mgs,
It is really worth having the full boxed set because bought separately you will pay more, and Honestly £80 is a bargain for such a good upgrade to a Tanks R/C ability's.
