HELP!! I need a latch for the ammo box on my Abrams

HELP!! I need a latch for the ammo box on my Abrams

Has anyone seen anything like this latch used on the ammo box of the mantel mounted 50 cal on the Abrams.

I looked at the Aber latches for German WW II armor and they work the same but look totally different.

Does it have to be functional?

Could probably make one out of some scrap plastic and wire. Just flatten the wire with a hammer, should look good!

Yes I'm sure Mr Barry has already sent a message deep into the far reaches of the galaxy with his capabilities....

I wonder if anyone makes scale latches for 1:14 semi trucks or large scale trains that would fit the bill?

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the incite and words of encouragement! After talking with "Orson", I've decided scratch building one from brass that functions is the correct course.
Should prove to be fun. :crazy:
