Hi Peeps.
Has anyone built, or has photos of the jukenburg or m.k. a7v ww1 1/16th scale kit. any info, or pics would be very helpful especially if it has been motorised for r.c.

From their Facebook post, MK Modellbau only released their version of the kit 2 days ago. The only photos would seem to be those on their website. I don't know about the original Juckenburg kit. It looks like an interesting build.

I hope you will post a build thread. WW1 models are a rarity and this is, to say the least, a bit of an oddball. I am not sure about reference material, but Osprey have a book about WW1 German Panzers https://ospreypublishing.com/german-panzers-1914-18

Hi,

For an RC tank, I would be tempted to buy the plasticard Ludwigs A7V kit instead of the resin Juckenburg/MK. With such large parts, I see a risk that the resin main body will suffer from molding distorsions that are difficult to rectify, and weakness if too thin. The plasticard on the other hand is always very strait and solid. The challenge of motorizing both models is the same. The use of real metal bolts and nuts on the Ludwigs model will look more accurate and fun to build, but is more expensive. I hope MK rectified the molding and air bubble issues.

Thanks for the info and pics, all is helpful. m.k. modellbau is still warning of bubbles etc, but at least I am forwarned.
My order is on its way, and I cannot wait, I have been wanting one of these for some time.
I find resin easy to work in and usually heavy.

Yip, and it still has not left me.....................

Mephisto is back in Brisbane, but is in deep storage while they build a new exhibit.
Trust me, if they put it back on display, I am very happy to go get you new pics and I will even register with the Museum as such to get close up and intimate with it.

I took my pics there. It’s back in storage back in BRISBANE now actually in a giant plastic bubble which is humidity controlled.
I have never stopped looking for toys that have a chance at becoming donor parts !!

Can’t wait to see how yours goes mate
