Just found this on You Tube

Post by wibblywobbly »

I stumbled across this Stug on You Tube, and thought I would post it to make you all weep.

I met the guy who built it at Bovington a few years back, and it was as you see it in the video. The staggering thing is that he designed, machined, and built the working V8 engine, drivetrain, gearbox and differentials. The beast was an absolute work of art and I have never forgotten it. I had a long chat with him, totally down to earth guy and incredibly modest about what he had done.

Pretty much lost for words. Just a shame not to have had the V8 running.

Boffin  Mild mannered too... don't you just hate them? :-< :haha: He's probably Barnes Wallis' Gt-Nephew.., just to rub it in. Some people 'set the bar' so high, you'd need a helicopter to get over it. It would be bearable more if he just bragged a wee bit.
There's a 1:6 Tiger 1 on Youtube with a working V12 engine that also creates an inferiority complex (in me at least). But that's been posted before.
However, this revolutionary firing system in a 1:6 Pz 11, is also worthy of envy and (resentful) admiration.. :haha:
