Looking for technical drawings

Post by dgsselkirk »

Greetings All!

As the title says I am trying to save some time and putting the request out there if anyone has access to M-3 (Grant, Lee, ) running gear technical drawings. Particularly the bogie set up. I have lots and lots of reference pictures and drawings but we are looking for something a little more detailed. We are going to CAD these and source some production to finally get some proper running gear for these early models. We want to make it at least the quality of the ABS in Henglong kits. So if you have them or have a museum or archive "friend" we could really use some help!

If no one has any I think that Bovington Tank Museum sells blueprints etc, and you may find that one of the US or Canadian museums does the same. One source I found for the Long Tom was here

Hey Dean, that sounds like a great idea. o-
Full high quality bogies would be well received.

I know I had a lot of trouble modifying the HL on my M3. The spring configuration doesn't let them be cut down low enough. :problem:

I look forward to seeing any of your results, pending any blueprints.
Cheers

Nope, I have parted ways with Vandra and since this was a project for the Ram mainly I see no reason to continue. We had all the tech drawings measurements and all was set up for an HL but shelved it for the moment... sorry!
