Thanks for the offer of help Pete.
Everything went fine with DBC until I installed the sound card. When soldering leads etc some of the tracking came of the DBC board. I tried "jumping" this with insulated wire, but it didn't work.
I suppose I'm the kind of person that tries new and experimental things. But get to the point where I really don't have the time to mess about with things that I can't make work. Therefore a "plug and play" system would be far better for me.
Insofar as the Tamiya compatibilty is concerned, I'll probably buy a TBU for the Sherman.

I think it targets the same market as Creeping Death, rather than Elmod. The complexity of the Elmod system is a considerable way ahead of what these units will do. I do of course agree that its horses for courses, and it is how deep an individuals pockets are that determines how good something is.

yes but the only other thing that i can think that el-mod does that this wont is that el-mod lets you use a 3rd party reciver and has the IR feature that depending where you are hit it slows that part down, and so for the price difference this module is way ahead, even if money was no object with the problems ive had with my el-mod id go with the RCC

Now if they could add the DBCRC2 part that would let you use a 3rd party Tx and Rx system along with future sound card this would be one nice setup .

Thanks
