Hey...thank you guys!

I dont think my neighbours mom would ever talk to us again :D ...

The hull and top assembly were left for couple of days, upside down, so cut a new section for underneath of turret, trimmed curved strip, set to turret, leaving excess, on flat panel, to trim later.
Cut new section to fit turret complete bottom surface.

Started cleaning up outside with some 250 paper.
Thickened up front drops either side of bumper, and at top edge of angled front panel.
Trimmed turret, left some excess at front. Added front top edge and hatch surround, which sits high.

Thoughts are now turning to some kind of rotation system for turret. had sent enquiry, but never heard back, so looked through collection of bits and found some sturdy wheels, and sent away for some hollow bearings.
The wheels look easy to mount, and provide turning circle for, bearings could be used with suitably shaped ring. Also sourcing some roller bearings.
Looked also at hinges, the hatch was a sandwich of three cf pieces, with one part of hinge bolted and resined together. found another hinge, so reckon they can all be used together.

Hi, thank you for your interest. My neigbour looks kinda worried already... >:<

Pulled rear box from jig, sits better, rear clings to rear of turret, that surface was layed up with scraps, and shows, but still got good surface.
Have some plates ready for lid, and souced hinges, which needed flatening.

Had an experiment with a roller needle bearing cage assembly, needles facing out, and piece of plastic track. Figured on, two cf rings, pillar the bearings on bushes, with sleeves, reliefs to allow bearings to meet circular track. The circular top surfaces, of bearings would sit either side of the track.
The balls kinda sit better with what Im hoping for, system can sit quite wide, and if mount ball ring at top (Lid) then could run wheels on ceiling under . wanted to bank top ring, but figure this would take some time, and set up. (But think it would ultimately save space)
If its possible to form the bearing ring, it could add some strengh to lid, which is six layers , but still has some give. A top ring could then be formed from this.... that, and some tubing sat in bottom.......hopefully.
So found a suitably sized pattern.

The hatch hinge - cut new ring for higher sealing.

After waxing the pattern, and desk, strip down some scrap cloth, worked round the pattern first, then inner edge, then continued with small cut squares of cloth, left to go green, light sand, and added, three layers, with one more this morning. trimmed edge roughly with chisel, which released whole item from desk.
Looks not too bad, there is some small areas that will need repairing, but most looks dark. Intend to leave to cure, before releasing plastic.

This is really impressive! Have you thought about incorporating camouflage into the gell coat? It would save you having to paint the tank later. Just a thought.
Keep up the good work!

Hey...mixing is great option..have done this before with a custom cf fairing and panel project...GS500E...think also it helps work the resin, especially with fibreglass.
It would add, but this is an area I feel out of water with...
Had originally thought of making two hulls and turrets, one to list on ebay, but got carried away.
Read thread recently, here, think it was Tiger, repainted... 8) black round grills plus...just awesome.. so thought of sending away to get treated is kinda appealing too.

Stuck rear box lids. started marking out for hinges, which will most probaly need spacers to sit on. It would be ideal to get turret drilled, and fixing rear box via hinges first.
Also added resin to lower hatch seal, and other surfces, also looked at possibilty of joining cf seals together, using cone (Compliments of Mr Dyson) originally used to help create lower hatch seal.
