Rear Idler Adjuster

Post by wargar »

I've just fitted the metal rear idler/track adjusters on my Pz111. From the rear the left one is perfect, however the right on the right one the tensioning bolt is clipping the track. Anyone else fitted these and had this drama? If so is there a fix-it.

Cheers

Yes, I had that same trouble with my PzIII Dave (but strangely enough, not with my StuGIII). I cut the hexagonal adjusters so they were shorter and also cut a slot in the ends so I could use a small screwdriver to adjust the tracks.

Hi You could fit a washer between the idler and the adjuster to move the idler out a touch this should give you a bit of clearance .But check the alinement of the idlers first if there in line with the wheels dont do it the tracks will jump off.

Thanks guys, Chris I like that idea as it's fiddly trying to get in there with long nose pliers anyway.

Thanks
