Alternative tyres

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

Nobbly tyres, look ok in my eyes.
Although for a truck i working on at the moment i am going to start the laborious task of cutting every second tread around the tyre on the edges and it will make it look more nobbly. but for my RC playground i need the larger diameter tyres or i will be grounded more often haha

Nice work and nice spot.
Do you have the part number for these? I think they would look great on a trailer

Just search on eBay for Lego wheel 56x26, there is also a site called brickowl.

Mick, you surprised me with that because all I do is find what I want then click on "Add to my Cart" and it takes me to "Pay-Pal" and the jobs done.

That is perfect, and you are right, much tyre choice to choose from to maybe suit one of my Rat/Hot Rod builds ;)
That reminds me, i need to try and source more left over spare stuff from these WPL trucks.

Those are great reference photos! There is also a 24x43 Lego tire (that is too large for these trucks, but can be made to work for larger tank transporter applications, such as the Sterling transporter that Tom Hugill recently bought). https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-technic-r ... ErxhXbB2rQ Link to his tank transporter is here: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=22713&p=207163&hil ... 26#p207163

As for those "24 x 43" tyres, they don't give the full diameter of them?

I believe it to be 82mm.

I have a bruder tank transporter, and the cab tyres are 75mm diameter and trailer 60mm diameter.
