impact 3:1 reduction gearboxes

if you fit the impact 3:1 gearboxes and also fit the reduction gear or any other type of reduction gear that involves adding a extra set of gears between the motor pinion and the first gear in the gearboxes

You have to reverse the motor connections

this is because the reduction gear takes the place of the motor pinion and adding the motor to the end of the gear chain reverses the gearboxes. which means that the reduction gear is running the normal way around but the motor is now running backwards

but if you do not fit the reduction gear you do not have to change any wiring because the motor pinion is in the correct location and running the correct way
