Super Pershing...BAH!!!
Super Pershing...BAH!!!
My favorite tank of WW2, only a shame one was never built. I plan in the future (And we are talking about several years) when my skills have developed and I have the time and money I will make a 1/16 scale version of this.
The P. 1000 Ratte

The world will probably never see an armored land vehicle on the scale of the Ratte. Tellingly, Germans didn’t even refer to it as a tank: they called it a “land cruiser.â€

Re: Super Pershing...BAH!!!
now that would have been a monster to deal with and drive
Re: Super Pershing...BAH!!!
That would be quite a model. Rough mental calculations means a 1/16 model would be around the same size as a 1/4 scale King Tiger, so presumably it would be just as heavy.
I would have thought this would be the ideal project for a group build.

PS Mark Spencer (M-1-T) once supplied a 1/6 Baneblade, fully functional, to Warhammer. It takes 2 people to drive it, but it proved that large multi turretted tanks are not beyond the realms of possibility.

Re: Super Pershing...BAH!!!
So did the Nazi tank design team get paid by "tonnage per tank" then?
Mad as a bucket of frogs but yep it would make a great model in 1/16. To do it justice you'd have to model the 20 fuel trucks that would be needed to follow it everywhere though ::)
