I just found this thread and up until seeing this mess with the gears, I was amazed at the engineering. However, engineers never seem to disappoint these days. They find a way to fail in a big way. Having a small lathe and Mill in the house I know your approach. I do the same thing, but unfortunately I am not equipped for gear cutting/hobbing. I am interested to see your fix. Shame you have to design replacement parts for a multi thousand dollar kit.

It is incredible that behind such a high quality product (as the Aero Panther II presents itself) there are such macroscopic defects. I can understand it from Asiatam ..... but from Aero :thumbdown:

After a "short break" we continue now ... ;D

- Gearbox repaired
- Loudspeaker box mounted
- Doing some lead dress and fuses installed

Jhamm how did you finally resolve the gear drives issue? Any pictures of the repaired drives or some detail on them? It runs very realistically now
