More progress. However slight it may be, it is a step in the right direction. With the considerable help of some printed parts and a "Machine Gun Mounts for Dummies" set of instructions from Alwyn, I have managed to assemble 2 machine gun mounts.

The assemblies demonstrate the best and the worst of my brass work. Where the arms join the main upright, I am pleased with the joints made using solder paste. However, try as I might I could not get a decent joint where the 2 arms join using the paste. Not knowing any better, I reverted to using traditional solder which sort of flooded it. Hopefully, judicious application of some heavy filing has left me with a presentable final outcome.
Once it is all painted and the machine gun fitted, maybe people won't notice. I have two MG34s on order . I am trying a new supplier for them and a few other goodies which I have not seen anywhere else. It will be interesting to see what the quality is like. They will all eventually appear somewhere on the Nashorn.
