My antenna setup. Now not to confuse you but I've seen some with multiple antennas fitted. One in the radio cabinet section, one on the right front glacius and one in the right front fighting compartment near the ammo rack for the machine guns. If I'm incorrect I will modify my setup to make it right.

More progress. However slight it may be, it is a step in the right direction. With the considerable help of some printed parts and a "Machine Gun Mounts for Dummies" set of instructions from Alwyn, I have managed to assemble 2 machine gun mounts. The assemblies demonstrate the best and the worst of my brass work. Where the arms join the main upright, I am pleased with the joints made using solder paste. However, try as I might I could not get a decent joint where the 2 arms join using the paste. Not knowing any better, I reverted to using traditional solder which sort of flooded it. Hopefully, judicious application of some heavy filing has left me with a presentable final outcome.

Once it is all painted and the machine gun fitted, maybe people won't notice. I have two MG34s on order . I am trying a new supplier for them and a few other goodies which I have not seen anywhere else. It will be interesting to see what the quality is like. They will all eventually appear somewhere on the Nashorn.

I've got a little more done. This is what the radio station now looks like - pretty much complete until I attach the aerial wire, which raises an interesting question. I was thinking the aerial was fitted to the vehicle at the right rear, but the book I bought on all the line drawings shows it front right, level with the pivot for the first bogie.

I believe the radio cabinet (and aerial) at the rear is only installed for a battery/troop command vehicle. Normal communications would be done with the radios and aerial at the front, the wireless operator sits next to the driver.
