Hi John, that is an excellent little book, very well done. 
Not to nitpick but there are a couple of typos (on Mark's page - Mark has a 5?, on Carl's page to should be too)

I like the idea behind the book and the book is readable as well as visually accurate BUT it is let down by a lack of editing,
and It needs proof reading and then you have the makings of a book that would be marketable.

Maybe you could show it to a teacher for some advice. They will soon tell you how best to shape you stories to grab the imagination of Primary grade students.
As you reference Bovington quite a bit, maybe add an intro page saying a tank is like a fort, but on tracks so it can move about and not be stuck in one place. Include a photo from the museum, saying many of these tanks are very old and being looked after at Bovington so they don't get knocked about by the new tanks. Then kids and teachers could get ideas about a visit to the museum either with their families, or on a class excursion, and use the book to find the tanks.

Well done and a good concept. I write for the last a bit over 4 years and I have learned several tricks to editing and proof reading although to a couple of 'serious' writers my writing style makes 'real' editors cringe.JohnWhyte wrote:Hi

Your book is short and simple and won't take long to proof. I've found that when I write short articles and/or editorials it's a good idea to write the work, or for a long book 10 or so pages, then come back the next day or two and read it again, proof it and edit it, and continue on. I use Microsoft Word to write. It's old and simple but that's all that is needed for a work such as this or even what I write.
If you wish, I can read over this the next couple afternoons and spell check it and proof it for you.

I think it's great. Not sure when I started being interested in tanks but I'd have devoured this book as a kid. I bet you sell a bunch of em!
