Re: Operation Tamy T1 face lift
Glad you're back with us, and bringing some of those magic tricks you perform so well. (Yuri Geller never bent metal quite as convincingly as you do
). I had a shattered ankle two years ago at this time and, until you're immobile, it's hard to appreciate what a lack of mobility can mean. It's now full of Titanium. Try bending that! Anyway, I hope you're healing (and annealing) well. I look forward to seeing more of your informative and detailed presentations. You're setting a good format for others to follow here

I'm feeling much better day by day, but working on these tanks amplifies the healing process.
I can't agree with you more that many times we take things in life for granted. I will be keeping photos of my hospital visits this year on my Hobby board as a reminder to me, not to sweat the small stuff and also to appreciate every minute that I have above the green!!!!
Wow full Titanium, your like the 6 million dollar man!!!!
Merry Christmas to you as well sir, hope Santa brings you some cool toys this year!!!

Hi Guys,...Hope yawl have a Merry Christmas and Santa brings you some nice toys!!!
This next entry is rear ABER rear fender assembly....Might be a bit dry and monotonous for some,
but for me, the more details the better
My soldering is kind of on the sloppy side and needs some fine tuning, but I will work on it.

Re: Operation Tamy T1 face lift
In my Haste to get mud guards fabbed up,... I over looked that this is an earlier Tiger 1 Mud guard.
Since Im trying to make a late version Tiger 1,... I had two choices...Order the right ones and start over or customize these so they look close. I opted to modify these, so I didn't have to spend the extra money and start over. I saw on Amazon, one guy has these late version mud guards listed at $99 american.
Thats highway robbery!!!!
So onward to modifying....
I will also have to modify the attachment of the fender to the rear hull when the time comes to install...

I guess there's no substitute for replicated the construction methods and materials in-scale, eh? This is a level of accuracy and functionality you just can't get in plastic; absolutely stunning work.
Are you using an iron or a torch for soldering? I know quite a few members here swear by solder paste, but if you're applying flux are you using solder off a reel?
