Today's update,

Loader's added Armor Shield, first pics are of styrene mock up. It is far easier to rework the styrene until fits then transfer shape to brass.
Second group of pics is my first attempt at fitting the brass pieces.
I also sanded off the molded bolt detail on the "manhole" CCTV opening cover. I used castings from Master Club, they do some very nice Nut & Bolt casting a little pricey but worth it IMO.

Bolts, electrical conduits, shields..............more hits than a Led Zeppelin back-catalogue :haha:
God, If it were mine, I would struggle to paint such intricate detail.

Weekend update,

The Loader's Armor Shields are all but finished. Just some minor cleanup and nut and washers to be added to the inside where the "bolts" come through. I am very please with how it turned out.
The hinge between the left side piece and the rear side piece proved challenging are once again I had to fabricate it as nothing I had would work. I still have to make the small "T" handle that is used to secure the rear piece in position. I believe that this piece is designed to swing open over the top of the side stowage box but have no photographic evidence. If it should then I will have to lower the side stowage box to allow it to clear.
I am undecided whether to move on to the Commander's Cupola or build up the Loader's Armored Gun Shield.

Here are the pics in a walk around order, sort of.

Thanks for looking in.
Barry

Hi Barry, Its amazing how are you able to cut everything so strait and cleanly, with no residues. You are truly an inspiration.
