A bit of a question hl challenger 2 gun barrel too short ??

Post by mcevoyi »

Hi all

As I am bashing away that my challenger C1 ..I've started to look at the gun barrel
It's a different gun so the fume extractor and muzel optis are differen possiaions across the total barrel length plus the insulation wrapped round the barrel

So I thought chop the challenger c2 barrel up and reuse ..

Has any one measured the challenger 2 barrel on the hl tank ...
I am a bit puzzled as the section between the rear of the fume extractor and the recoil baffle ( the bit we all replace for the recoil ) seems to be an inch well 28.65 mm shorter than it should be and the section in front of the fume extractor to the muzel break is 11.5 mm too short
So that's a total of 40.15 mm too short !!!!!!!

Any one else found this ????

I had some issues with this tank ,,as well it seems that the gun barrels on most H,L, tanks ar moulded in one so for recoil and accuracy it's a long drawn out task not as bad as the old old, tanks I,E, Tiger1, when just about everything was wrong,, anyway you will get there, my challenger i did the gun alteration at the barrel to turret used a cheap plastic pump corigation tube and works well , all the best ,
time that's all it takes ,, TIGER 1,TIGER 2, PANTHER G, PANZER 4,KV1,T34,M3,M16,M4,M26,,251,CHAL
