I like the brass work on the gunner. Neat and sharp!

Now barry, tell me about the machine gun and scope.

There are stuff in my Shapeways shopping cart. Gunners scope is one of them. Mine is SPM-16-002 Heavy gun scopes to be attached to machine gun set i bought recently.

Did you buy the gun and scope separately and attach them together? Looks like the gun is from the kit.

Where did you get the scope from? im hoping to buy the right one.

Nexusys,

Thank you for the kind words.

You are correct, the gun is from the Trumpeter kit as well as the spent shell bin. The Spent Shell Bin and Elevation Yoke are molded as one piece that I separated. I scratch built the Ammo Box Tray from styrene.

The scope is from the M1A2 TUSK Machine Gun set from Shapeways. It is not available separate so I just cut it off the 7.62 and mounted it on the kit gun.
I will be using the Counter Sniper Mount for the M2 50cal as a pattern to make one from brass but will not use it. The Shapeway set is very well done IMO but I still struggle with how to smooth out the surface finish and not damage or remove the small detail.

Here are a couple of pics of the "trolley" for the gun mount. It is position able and moves fairly freely around on the gun ring.
