I'm wondering why the new sound card costs so much. You can get the MFU with sound card for about $55 USD but the sound card alone is $25 USD, almost half the cost. With the work Rad's doing with the das mikro it might be the better choice at a cheaper price ($24 from HK). It's definitely much smaller. Don't get me wrong, I have one of the new sound cards from Imex and it sounds great, I'm just wondering why the huge mark-up.
So for me I'll get the new V2 with sound card for the Tauchpanzer, and I hear the Panther sounds are close so that will cover the Panther G, then it's just waiting for the Pershing sounds to appear. Now, do I want to order more i6 radios, or put more than one tank on each of the radios I have now? Decisions, decisions. I shoulda jumped the other day when they had the i6 on flash sale for 40 bucks.

I believe it will be just sort of a starting price. We should wait while and probably it will go to somewhere below 20€. 15€ would be more than reasonable I think.

I wondered about the price as well, but Smaily is probably right that it's an introductory price. Or maybe they knew they'd sell a lot to the Open Panzer crowd and are trying to cash in!:)
Either way, objectively speaking it's still quite cheap for a sound solution.

Since I discovered the sounds in the dasmikro can be synchronized using the Prop 2 with the open panzer board (well, really with everything) I see no reason to spend not even one euro in the taigen soundboard. Specially when you cannot change the sounds, it has no extra sounds and so on...Max-U52 wrote: With the work Rad's doing with the das mikro it might be the better choice at a cheaper price ($24 from HK). That is good point. On the other hand, DasMicro will not be supported with new firmware releases for TCB.

The Taigen board may offer a degree of simplicity for some who are not familiar with programming and may just want the sounds in one tank.

C.rainford:
Well, you are completely right. The Dasmikro can be a bit frustrating for a beginner. It needs some time and patience.
Smaily:
You dont need any kind of support of anything to have the sounds synchronized with the functions at the open panzer board, well, at least for all the motors related, cannon shoot, machine gun and all of the 16 custom sounds...
But now I just remembered the barrel elevation and turret rotation sounds! I dont know if you can synchronize those sounds too, but Ill investigate!

Because the supported board is the benedini mini, not the micro...Max-U52 wrote:Why not?Smaily wrote:That is good point. On the other hand, DasMicro will not be supported with new firmware releases for TCB.
