New Heng Long truck?

Post by Blackadder123 »

Hello chaps,

There seems to be a new WPL or Heng Long (?) truck selling on Gearbest*.....

https://www.gearbest.com/rc-cars/pp_1214989.html?wid=21

Anyone got any info on it? I can't tell whether its the same chassis of the other heng long truck with a different hull or another chassis design...

The nice thing about new models using the same components means that there is a good chance of a healthy spares/addons/upgrades supply situation. As more and more of these trucks get out there then third party suppliers are going to want a piece of the action, so it looks like the 1/16 truck market is going to boom.

It's great news for us scratch builders as the parts supply will only get better and the prices will come down. At these prices it becomes worthwhile to canibalise trucks to do special variants such as 6x6 builds. Keep up the good work Frankie! :haha:
