they pretty much turn you into one of those ALien Carl was referring to. So now it all make sense!

Btw, i just bought Abrams machine guns from Shapeways link you sent. only just figured it comes with all 3 of them. I thought it just one machine gun for that price. NOW THATS worth paying for! :D

Cant wait to get hold of it and inspect the print work.

I mainly bought the set for the M240 with the Thermal Sight but the mount for the Counter Sniper 50 cal. will be used as a pattern for a mount fabricated from brass.

Here are a few more.

I fabricated new lids for the Stowage Boxes/Bins. The handles are from Schumo, the are marked for the Tamiya Pershing but are a near perfect match for the handles on the Abrams.

Hey Barry, with the capola, do you have to modify to fit on Heng long?

I did not modify the cupola but I had to enlarge the opening in the HL turret about .020" and cut the notch for the key. I could have removed the key from the cupola but kept it for alignment.

Hi Barry,

Man, I would love to see a Video clip of how you remove those parts clean from the HL turret!!

Pininy,

I used a Hobby Chisel and Xacto blade as a scraper to remove the glue they used from the inside around the pins that protrude. Once the glue has been removed "usually" a couple of taps or just a good push will cause them to pop loose. For the molded on details I used the cut-off wheel on the Dremel or a Razor Saw then the Hobby Chisel and some judicious sanding. It is just a little time consuming but worth the extra effort.
