I agree with you there! I'd give my right arm for a Cromwell! The market is crying out for British armour. Lets hope Tamiya or HL take up the call and we can get these neglected tanks out!mcevoyi wrote: how about somthing more interesting .. like ccromwell .....churchill .....
The KV-1 despite being powerful, is not one tank id want. The Russian armour is very plain, very utilitarian.

I dunno Brell, they have funny messages painted on the turrets, "nasivdan balonazva IVAN"....."To Fritz love Ivan" lol

1 H/L Tiger in lots of bits being sorted
"A Tiger gives you a VERY nice Edge"

Re: Tamiya 1/16 KV1e
I think if Tamiya had found a method of making smoke for the gunfire we would all have heard about it by now. I suspect that this is just an effect produced during the making of the video.
The tracks look wrong - on the shots of the static model they are a loose fit, as on the real tank. On the action shots they are tight. Obviously if you try to run it with the tracks as loose as they should be, they fall off.
The sound seems typical Tamiya - more like a speaker shoved in a plastic box than a real tank.
Sorry Mr Tamiya, I'm not overly impressed. Once again you are releasing the wrong tank and have been beaten by the Chinese. You have missed the chance to produce top selling tanks on two occasions now (T34 & T55) and should have listened to your customers a bit more.
Thats my opinion anyway, others may think differently.
