By all accounts, the T34 was an absolute pig to drive.
The driver would end up in a sweat with the exertion of it all.

Yes we are the lucky ones who get to operate it with the flick of a few sticks on our remote controllers

Re: T-34/76 In German service
Happened upon a wonderful gent today who was doing some copper flashing at a home of one of my clients. So I asked if I could take some bits from his scrap pile to use for a project....
Solid copper should do for my schurzen plates
Does anyone know any detail on how the Germans accomplished mounting these in the T-34?
I'd assume not as intracate as the Panzer III and IV with all the brackets. Possibly more like the Panther?
Maybe someone knows if a thread already done on this?
Cheers
Carl

Carl!
A pleasure, my Friend. I built one of Germanys most impressive Beutepanzers, the KV-2 based 754r. They had a few and intended to use them in an invasion of Malta.. It never came off so the tanks were sent back to Russia and repainted and eventually destroyed in action against their former masters. My 'Crackerbox Palace' build is here on the forum. ;o) I'll be following along on yours.
regards,
Painless

Re: T-34/76 In German service
So with the help of my trusty Canadian buddy (accomplice
)Mr MichealC I've been able to acquire the needed bits to begin this beutepanzer t-34. The upper hull is Mike's design with a Tarr smoker fitted servo recoil and flash. Uses the Taigen quick connection system. ( I think it has servo elevation too haven't confirmed that yet) turret even has a full interior!!
A big thank you to Dave ( Mr Forgebear) for his help getting the Taigen metal lower with steel gearboxes and metal road wheels sprockets and idlers. His prices are outstanding and as everyone knows he is quite a wonderful fellow!
This guy is now off the the Heng Long Builds section of the forum for my dissection and reincarnation
