(Hope I'm not too late to reply), Colors look really well on your tank, historically accurate or not. Your Tiger I is a real inspiration for me, great work on those details!
Them: WHY do you like tanks so much?
Me: Well, let's see.... It's an all terrain machine of steel with a GUN mounted to the top. The REAL question SHOULD be, why WOULDN'T I like tanks "so much"..... 8)

Hi tiger 111
not too late at all , many thx for the reply.
The tiger colour scheme I used on mine is one from a Tiger that was shipped out to Tunisia in Africa, a few were actually deployed there during the war from what i have read, hence the sandy dust covered tank effect.
cheers. Sub.

813 is a bit of a favourite, it being one of the first 50 Tunisian Tigers with a lot of features not found on later Tiger1s,
Unfortunately it does mean that those self same features are not available from a dealer.
There are a good range of decals available and what I love about 813 is I have built the back of mine with as much accuracy as my scratch built fenders, air cleaners and exhaust shrouds can go using the available photographs which only show the back and sides But because I have never seen pictures of 813 from the front it allowed me a free hand in my build of the front so it has the drivers binocular viewing holes and the early front one piece fenders and the flat turret gun mantlet.
The paint scheme that Sub uses is exactly as I have painted mine, I don't know if it is correct but it does look right,
I love looking at the various interpretations of 813 that have been built and painted on the Forum over the years,(Almost as many as 131 :haha: ) all different and all really well done as is this particular one.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

That's really cool how you copied it off an actual Tiger deployed in it's early years! I'm going for the same concept on my own Tiger I however I plan to make it a fictional tank that didn't exist in any particular heavy panzer unit. I'm using a lot of different designs from various Tiger Is out there and I could embed some of your Tiger's features into my tank!
