Not for the purist, but does anyone know if the king tiger sprockets idlers and road wheels and tracks will fit a tiger I? My sons tiger is still throwing a track every few minutes, I've tried adding and removing track links, but it makes no difference. Looking at the king tiger idlers, they seem to support the track across more of its width, and in my mind this may help stop it throwing tracks every time he uses it, but don't really want to spend £50+ to find none of it will fit anyway.
Thanks.

Re: King tiger parts on a Tiger I?
Hi, Are you using Plastic or metal tracks ?
If you are using metal tracks where does the track first touchdown after leaving the front sprocket?
If the tension is correct It should touchdown first on the second wheel back from the sprocket.
If you have metal tracks at the correct tension and they keep coming off then why not use Plastic tracks,
Certainly they are a lot less prone to coming off when driven around on variable surfaces than the metal ones are and they are a lot cheaper.
Shaun.

Re: King tiger parts on a Tiger I?
It's using plastic tracks already, on anything but the laminate floor, it throws a track, I've tried running them with an extra link and with 1 link less than standard, and it still comes off. The tracks work their way over on the rear idler, so the teeth on the tracks sit between the idler, then work over more so both sets of teeth are on the outside of the idler and then they come off. With the wider idler of the king tiger, that shouldn't be able to happen.

As you live in Corby you might like to go to the next meeting at the Great Gonerby venue,
Take your son and the Tiger, the members will be able to give hands on assistance to help you solve this aggravation,
I am confident that details of the next meeting will be on these pages soon.

Thanks, I've got a feeling I've seen something about that, but we're away for the weekend, is it the 1st weekend of December? If not then it must've been an rc sub thing I'm thinking of, and in which case I'll look out for this other meet and see if I can make it. Is it an indoor venue?

Thanks, must've been a sub meet I was thinking of then. In that case I may well attempt to get there and introduce myself, though I'll admit I find it hard to get to know people and socialise, let alone ask for help! Probably best to leave the younger child at home, he'd probably get me kicked out!

You are having no trouble talking to us here so all you would be doing is putting faces to names of people you already know because everyone you meet is a member of this Forum,
The hardest part of meeting people for the first time is knowing what to say,
Well that at least is not going to be a problem. And you being British there is always the weather as a fall back topic
