Ebay clark/ibu deal?

Post by Blackadder123 »

Hello,

Found an interesting deal on ebay (http://www.ebay.de/itm/Platine-Clark-TK ... Swq9NZ17nS).......

Seller is offering an IBU2 and Clark Tk22 at a pretty low price of 30 euros, but the catch is that the IBU2 apparently has no sound and the Clark Tk22 produces a loud buzz that drowns the actual tank sounds.

Does anyone know if these are easy fixes or are the boards truly gone and in need of repair?

Perhaps someone here can shed light on whether this is a good deal, haha :)

I would say the IBU could be an SD card issue. Clark probably return to sender. Imo it's expensive for something that's faulty when there are potential expensive repair and return shipping costs

SD card issue as in the SD card being defective and not transferring the data? Are SD cards generally vulnerable to damage?

I also suspect the clark tk22 has an internal issue.... And without sounds the board is quite pointless. If the IBU2 is a simple fix though, this could still be a good deal.....

Will be interesting to see how much it goes for.

I had a very bad experience a while ago with a Clark board I purchased on EBay that was "100%" working and tested and when I went to install it in my panther it made no sound at all.

As Tom noted this could turn out to be a very expensive and frustrating experience if you take a chance. The price is very cheap for sure.

I learned my lesson and ever since I buy my electronics brand new from reputable vendors like Ian and Maxmekker. Peace of mind and customer service are priceless
Tanks alot....

Clark repairs boards pretty cheaply, you would just need to send the board back to him for a quote. Whatever was wrong with it, it would probably have been a £10 fix.
