brass strips

anybody know where i can get brass strips 3/32ins wide x 1/32ins thick as im trying to make track hangers for jagdpanther i have the back plate,  cant get anything in this banana republic have to import everything

Hi Chris ,
Try a model enginers type supplyer my dads a model enginer and you can just about buy any size brass . I couldnt recomend any particular seller just check the net . My local model shop sells it at a good price not sure if he has your size . Even B&Q sell it but there normaly in long lengths so you pay more .

K&S model supplies you can get sheet in various thickness they are a U.S. company but good model shops here should have a good range of bits ;) ;)

Got some brass sheet in the shed, i'll dig it out tomorrow and measure the thickness but it'll only be a rough measurement i've not got a digital vernier gauge if thats any help

k&s models only sell in packs of 14 strips,    thanks jack not easy to cut thin strip off

Hi Chris,
yeah i know what you mean, done the measurements anyway 88mm wide tapering down to 77mm, 534mm long and thickness as shown in the picture

thanks jack thickness ok its the cutting is problem tried to cut small bit off back plate but it just bends

hi steiner thats a good site but smallest they do is 1/4in
