He sure is.
If it's ok with you Mr Rainford it would make fiscally prudent sense to get the speaker from down the road rather than international post !

Mr Raminator, I really was not decided on a speaker as I anticipated getting another type from Jaycar.
Just in case, what other surplus gems have you got cluttering up the place :haha:

Good morning, the first time I have looked at this build, what an amazing job, had to double take on some of the pics
as they look like the real thing, you must be proud of your efforts, absolutely superb.

Good luck at Jaycar - they only had a $5 cheapy with a paper cone in stock. I haven't hooked it up yet, but I don't imagine it is Visaton quality. Still, in a custom box, it has to be better than stock. There must be some high quality computer speakers around somewhere, that could be had for less than the price it would cost us to get Visatons.

Keep us advised if you find a source of good speakers in Oz.

How about ripping these apart to get four speakers for $50AUD?

Not too much that'd be of interest; in addition to the Taigen recoil/elevation unit I promised you, I've just got a Heng Long recoil unit (the crappy backwards kind) and elevation unit (the noisy big wheel kind). I think I've managed to do a fairly good job of repurposing or rehoming my spares!

Thanks mate, it certainly was a testing project but one I’m well happy with.
I’ve got hold of some plastic foliage that once painted should look ok draped over it.
Another mini project for another day!

Mr Herman, have you sorted the speaker and can we hear this beast rumble in a video? I know you mentioned the TPA amp, have you fitted it to the Jagdtiger ?
