1/16 wargames

hi everyone at the weekend i went to elvington to the yorkshire air museum because they had a military vehicle show on.
i got talking to colin at mailed fist again and he said that the organizers were interested in them and us doin a 1/16 wargame at the show next year.
they have even found a nice big place to have the battle is anyone interested?

Cracking weekend at Elvington me and m boys did both days running our tanks, Stug quick note of interest, if you and your wargaming man are planning on running anything R/C and Elvington next year please do come see me as we run a frequency board for the event (being the only R/C stuff on show) and we can make sure everyone has fun (P.S. You will need public liability insurance too), if not sorry to interupt and enjoy the pictures

i didnt know we had to be insured but i will speak to colin and see if he has some sort of policy to cover us.
as for the frequeny thing i totally agree we will have to sort somthing out so we all get ago.

In this blame and claim sociaty we live in you'll need to be insured to walk down the high street soon, but yes you should be insured if your going to play in the public arena, just in case somebody trips on your tank, gets stabbed in the eye with your TX, pokes his or her eye out while looking closely at your model, in some of the paper work (risk assessments) i've had to list all potential hazards and list is quite long. I even had cause to enquire for for 1/6th figures that don't move etc... and venues are saying we'd like you to have liability insurance, and as .gov venues seem to set the bar on this so £3,000,000+ is recommended. Then there is the potential hazards from the radio gear it does seem to be real silly but "if theres blame there is a claim" i'm afraid.

Stug, talk to me nearer the time for Elvington and we can sort frequency stuff out no problem, you should have come over and said hi we don't bite, ask Chris
