Forgebears recommended I came to this forum for a few pointers as I am not a 1/16 RC builder or scratch builder at all. I basically stick to making up 1/35 British Armour (mostly Tamiya) and pretty much Royal Scots Greys, otherwise things get too complicated and cluttered and, my passion is the painting anyway ... 3D art. I’m sure you all know, you could spend a lifetime building just Shermans alone!
I have however owned a Heng Long Pershing for probably 10 years (still haven’t painted it!) and have just picked up the new 2.4 ghz Sherman M4A3 to up-gun as an approximation of a Firefly. I’m not after accuracy as I just want to get painting. I also recently painted a very old HL RC 1/16 Tiger 1 for a friend (piccy below) with all its in-built inaccuracies, which we can live with for the sake of a decent paint job. The research for that panzer was a whole new ball game for me ... and blow me down, he wanted it battle damaged and dirtied up to such a degree that it, spoilt all the art! I like museum or fresh in service paint jobs with a bit of dust rather than factory finish or mud and guts.

Looking forward to a world of knowledge and guidance from you all.
