Oh man, I remember watching this back when was first researching RC tanks. Gary's videos helped get me in to the hobby, and this one in particular steered me towards the IBU for my T-34/76 project.

Shaun gets half a point. Where did you come up with Chicago, Bro? I live in Detroit. The TRUE Rock City (just in case Sollie reads this).Son of a gun-ner wrote:And the point goes to Shaun lol.
Not one of our fellow countrymen, but one of yours Mr No Sickle.
Mick.
I remember making that and I still only use the Clark if I can't squeeze an IBU in there.
I'm very glad to see it helped someone.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

I am so sorry Gary My excuse is that it was 1/2 past midnight when I wrote it,
The trouble is if I said that about anywhere in the UK I would never be more the a few hundred miles out but in the USA I can and indeed was a bit further out than that,
Still I didn't call you Canadian or Mexican.
Shaun.

Interesting video.
I've never heard an IBU in the flesh, But I'm very happy with my TK22.
I've said before, the TK24 sounds no different to the 22 IMHO.
I bought the TK24 for my Tiger 1 "205" because of the engine revving feature, but I find the revving feature very poor, it just doesn't sound like a 32 litre 12 cylinder engine at all.
Now the sound my Beier Electronik sound board gives out is, for me, on another level with many, many more sounds on it.The other bonus is that you don't have to buy a new radio unit for the Beier - it piggybacks off the Taigen/Torro board in the tank.
All my tanks still have the standard Taigen/Torro speaker, so the comparison is about the board, not the quality of the speaker.

What I meant Mick is that all my boards have identical speakers, so the comparison is easy to make.Son of a gun-ner wrote:Au contraire monsieur tiggr, a poor speaker can distort the sound quality, so not a true comparison if you're not giving the signal a chance to shine.

Thinking about it Mick, I changed the speaker in Tiger "222" to a Vistaton, maybe that's why it sounds so good.
