After doing some research I decided on a Heng Long King Tiger with metal upgrades as my first tank
It arrived with a damaged turret, incorrect charger and stripped gears on one side. The seller has replaced these and I have fitted them. On testing everything seemed well at first. After final assembly I wanted 1 more test. As soon as I turned on there was a brief acrid burning smell so I turned off and checked for any obvious signs of damage. Not seeing any I waited for a while and turned back on again.
Now the 2 drive motors do not respond to the transmitter. Everything else seems to work.
Any suggestions on what might be wrong? Could it be some component in the receiver that has burnt out?
I realize Hang Long are at the bottom end of the market but are they typically plagued with problems?
Thanks, D
