Thanks for the report!

Does the Taigen share any HL parts turret-wise?

OR does it all seem to be coming down to the short barrel of the Sherman?

I checked....I use Crosman .12g seamless high performance 6mm AAirsoft BB's....so I think I'm good. It's a bottle of 6000 count.

I have a Taigen Tiger 1 and I can shoot as far as the Sherman but I use high quality .2 air soft BB's by Elite Force. They are also Bio-degradable. Also I clean my barrel with a cleaning rod and soft pads made from the same material you clean your glasses with and a little rubbing alcohol. The major problem with all tank air soft units is that the gears inside are made of plastic and break teeth. The units are cheap to replace but if they made a unit with metal gears I would pay a little more to not have to replace them as often.

I'd like to think somewhere there is a machinist hobbyist who makes upgrade gears for the shooting mechanisms.

But, yes luckily the parts are silly cheap.

I'm trying not to exaggerate, but I paced from my porch to my woodline as about 75 yards. I sit my tank on my porch and that BB reaches the woodline!

I was surprised to try my next two tanks and see they were barely making it halfway to the woods. The sherman being my first tank, I thought they all shot that far.

Hmm.. I never checked actual distance. I mesure by the loudness of the "Plick" it makes against my metal garage-doors :haha:

Upto now, both the 4th gen Königstiger and T90 are competing for "Loudest *plick* ( and a very satisfying, reverberating "twingngngng" of the doors... ) Old gen Bulldog and Leopard only manage a decent, not very loud "ploc" The rest of my tanks are flashers, so, no plick or ploc.. :P

No Sherman to compare, though.

I have 3 types of airsoft guns, the green plastic ones, black ones and the yellow/brown ones. The yellow/brown ones ( come in the newest tanks) seem to perform the best. The black ones are really old, and have many hairline cracks allover, so not really a good comparison.

Also found out about- and use the polished airsoft pellets. Ànd they also come as paintballs, pepperballs etc... hmmmm.... @)

Took my Sherman out again today. Ran it on my front sidewalk...yup...the BB's really go farther than my other two tanks. What was cool was parking the tank up on the grass edge so the whole tank points noseward a bit. Then when I shot the BB...whooboy.....I was shooting for the moon! ;D
