Ahh...yes....
I got invovled in some modfying, tried my hand at a scratchbuild...and totally bit off WAY more than I could chew. Got a bit disenchanted and put hte stauff away in a big box and kind of forgot about it. Then I was having a clear out, and uncovered it all.
Charged up the battery...and gave the old Panzer III a workout. Forgot how much fun it actually was.....Then I got around to actually finishing off the paintwork ( had base coated it...but not done anything else) and now it looked good.
Then...on top of all that...I got a new toy. A 3D printer.
That reminded me of the scratch build project I had planned....it reminded me of the things on the Panzer III that were not 'right' like the exhaust I had made, the battery box, the gun mantlet, the decorative 'junk' I wanted to hang on the sides...and I realised that now I had the means to do ALL these things in a way I never could before.
The enthusiasm is back....and I got so many projects, ideas and plans!

Hi Pak36, welcome to the ranks of demented 3d printer owners.
Any questions or queries then don't hesitate, there are now quite a few 3d printer fundis on the forum (I'm still learning as I go along and have to rely on advice and assistance from more knowledgeable members quite often).
Pictures are always welcome

I guess it's not unusual to have a hobby break, what with competing priories, etc., but yours was quite a long one. Very long.
Welcome back, and the more the merrier, eh? Tech has moved on so much in the last five years, that there's always something new to try; not just the latest MFUs and transmitters, but loads of add ons and enhancers. Then, there's the potential of the 3-D printer...the potential to become hopelessly immersed in the whole hobby
thing again
