6th scale King Tiger blowing its stack...
Hatakashi, who was a member of the forum here seven years ago, posted this interesting, if middle grainy footage of his 1/6th scale King Tiger (Armortek..I think) firing blank charges. So authentic is the shot, that the muzzle brake breaks..

Very cool indeed
I guess no IR flash needed
These large scale tanks are so impressive.
Has anyone attempted successfully to install a similar system on a smaller scale like our 1:16 tanks?
Is there a thread anywhere on the forum describing this?
Cheers

I don't know if he ever owned an Armortek as well but Hatakashi's King Tiger was a 1/4 scale one from Alex Schlachter.

I have seen a video of a guy that used black powder in a 1/16 King Tiger. I have been unable to find it for over a year now, though.c.rainford73 wrote:Very cool indeedI guess no IR flash needed

Not exactly the video I'm thinking of, but very similar.

Hi Blank firing guns and BB guns invalidate your insurance ,if you go to a club meeting you must have these functions disabled . So not much chance of showing them off. Hate to put a downer on this topic, but these days of claim for anything you do have to be careful. What you have fitted to your tanks.

Yes, I have posted that worthy thread before; but as much for the ingenious mods he made to the Tamiya based KT, as the black powder firing mechanism.
Shame about the Club downer on BBs. Personally, I don't like blank firing guns. I like them to be able to hit a target with a projectile.
Here's a video of an airsoft fan who boosted the power of his Matorro unit with a little mod.

I live smack dab in the middle of the states. Thus, there are no rc tank clubs anywhere near me. So, I can only prowl around my yard or at the family farm. Will, probably build a battlefield out there at some point though.971wright wrote:Hi Blank firing guns and BB guns invalidate your insurance ,if you go to a club meeting you must have these functions disabled .
