[HELP] Can Shuo TK16 operation

Post by xhack2 »

Hi All!

I would like to seek help with my friend's custom DKLM Leopard 2
We are hoping to recieve assistance with anyone fully experienced with the CS TK16
The setup involves DKLM's wonderful metal lower, coupled with CS TK16 and the CS 2-axis gun and turret stabilizer, with a chinese generic 2.4Ghz 6 channel radio system

the entire deal was purchased from Toucan Hobbies

This is my Friend's second RC tank, next to a Tiger 1 Mato full metal version

there was no further instruction included with the package.
Communication with Toucan hobbies had been at best, a difficult exercise in chinglish decryption

i had fixed a lot of assembly issues, it seems that Toucan Hobbies rushed the Assembly of the internals, i had soldered a lot of connections as some had been badly crimped with the metal contact inside some plugs.

now that connections had been taken cared of, we had tested the Tank and while most capabilities are tested as follows:

1)gun elevation
2)track and drive movement
3)MG
4)2 axis turret stabilizer (independent from any input)

at this time the only two remaining functions we have not been able to determine how to actuate from the transmitter are:

1)Turret Traverse
2)Main Gun Fire

At this time, since the owner of the RC vehicle has left his tank under my care as he has to work oversees for a year.

I would like to be able to figure out the above two functions.

Hi, It is customary for new forum members to introduce themselves in the "Introduce Yourself" thread(The clue is in the name) - who you are, where you are from etc., before diving in with requests for help. I note you have been a member since 2014

For the stabilizer unit (CS-TK-SWB)' you need to have the power to the unit but the unit itself turn off for the traverse to work. So power to the red connector and an on/off switch turn off. You will have tracking when you turn it on and manual control when it is turn off.

This is true whether you have servo traverse or Heng Long unit traverse.

Thanks for the reply!

i totally forgot to mention that the Gyro stab power and tracking are working 100%

we just could not for the life of me, figure out how to manually fire the main gun and manually traverse the turret

Just so you all know, there are some wire connections that obviously will be located in areas frequented by bumps.

one such is the connector powering the turret traverse gearbox

this has since been soldered.

again, we have the turret auto-gyro tracking and the gun gyro vertical gyro-stabilizer fully working.

so far here is what we were able to figure out

>>right stick controls track movement. same as regular Heng Long settings
>Long press down stick lets you access sounds selection options(gunfiring, gun elevation, mg firing, traverse, and engine sounds)

>>Left stick controls
>by clicking the upper left switch up: right position=engine start; left position=engine shut; stick up=gun elevation down; stick down=gun elevation up
>by clicking the upper left switch down: right position= no action; left position=no action; stick up: MG firing; stick down=switch headlight on or off

so those are the only known controls
