I received mine this past week.
My first impression is it lacks the level of detail one would expect in 1/16 scale. Lots of molded details that IMO should be separate parts.
Main hull piece is just that one large piece much like the Heng Long Abrams with most of the engine deck details molded in place.
Tracks will be a lot of fun to assemble,lots and lots of pieces! Not sure I would not use a set of HL plastic tracks before I would assemble those in the kit.
Some of the turret details may very well end up on my HL Abrams build as they are nicely done IMO.
One huge mistake though, they molded the NBC details on both sides of the lower hull but only the details that appear on the hull side not the upper surface so they can be removed.

It sounds much the same as the T72B just released!!. That to is very simplified in its makeup. I think it's all about money saving. I've built the T72 and I'm very disappointed with it
