Nice work on the tube mate.
I also found this build which is useful in many ways to all of us.
Wow, that is an amazing build. I knew, I was missing some Details, but that many 8O :wtf:

Seriously, Im still happy with this one.

Thank you to for the heads up and the wealth of Inspiration. That influenced this build a lot and helped me learn even more, but also realize my Limits.

Mate, the limits are always what we strive to achieve...........and thats why we love this hobby and the Tanks within it.
Your build is a benchmark for this version, and the details & paint are an education for all of us.
I just wish you would put the damn thing together and weather it in an assembled state !!...Its driving me to drink waiting to see it, & trust me, the way I drink, its a short trip :/ :shh:

Dear Mr. Bix, yes, I am getting closer and closer to that state. When everything ist mounted I will start with the final weathering. The decisions for filters and washes were made. But I am not yet sure about the dirt and dust and mud. I have some ideas, but not yet the idea for the actual execution.

And heres the left side. Applied a varnish coat now, to make all the stuff a bit more resilient.

Quite a nice job there mr Soeren. I'm with Herman in this..... Very impatiently waiting for the final productImage

I myself have been working on a few new projects and really need to button up and finish my Panzer 38t that is ready to finish.( I hope to very soon)

Something about the "build" portion of the hobby that stimulates the mind. Then once it's completely done a little less exciting for me.

That's why I'm enjoying this build so muchImage
Tanks alot....

I feat this to happen to me as well. Although I have the Ibu2pro unit and a big speaker for this, I have had no intention to make it all work until now. Although already made up my mind on a vignette for this one make the Matchbox/Revell 1:76 into 1:16. But as of now its time to finish this. I also have 4 nice 1:35 scale kits to build and/or finish. Then the Panther and a 1:16 Taigen Tiger to make into the oddball build. Plenty to do for the next 1 or 2 years.

Started with dirt on the wheels. Vallejo thick mud and mud and grass thinned down in dirty water and pasted on. Then Used Vallejo Cam Medium Brown in 80% thinner to tinge a bit.

I I will apply this mixture to all the hull and moving parts I guess. And then carry on with another layer until happy.

I carried on with the watering. Added some garden soil and Vallejo mud. The texture is where I want it now. Now I have to figure out to get the shade and variation in color on the dirt. Then it will be to bind this together with the less dirty areas. Lower hull will have darker semidry dirt. The upper areas should have a mostly dry buildup of earth and only dust on top. Yesterday I added another filter to only the areas flat to the roof. Had my premixed filter and added 502 light sand. A very light yellow tone. Applied I. A first layer it faded the colors in the roof, on the fenders and engine deck in one go. Like if there was a dust layer on it, but without adding too much texture.:thumb up:

Ok, I think I now got what I was looking for. I added Light siena Pigment directly and by mixing with Vallejo oiled earth wash and the sprinkled it on with the "brush sprinkle" technique. I took the Vallejo Hemp Color then, that almost Matches the light sienna, thinned it down and sprayed randomly over it and in runners. See the side hull Picture. On the front and back, to create the dusty faded look, I just sprayed it on, it acted like a filter.

On the upper hull, after adding the oil filter yesterday, I sprayed on the heavily thinned down hemp colour, see the Picture, the mixed oil filter has almost the same Color as the acrylic hemp. Funny match. The hemp was only sprayed to the flat Surface to the sun from top on in an almost vertical angle. I guess you can makeout the difference when compared to the sides of the casemate.

Getting closer, might have to sand down the teeth on the wheels, the track seems to ride on top of them. Too wide teeth.
