Very nice work on the weathering and presentation John, you really nailed the dusty look.

I think the only hobby more expensive than R/C tanking would be some flavour of Warhammer. It wouldn't surprise me there's an overlap in the Venn diagram there. ;)

I suspect many have come via wargaming of some sort. Also, depending on the local shops the Citadel paints/washes are the only range carried. I can get Tamiya & Vallejo (sp?) paint but the only washes are with the Citadel paints, or art inks.

I don't touch tamiya paints as they don't last long after opening and begins to split while vallejo closes place to me I know supply them is a shop in Barnsley also the base colour on it is a AK interactive that I can get from other side of the Humber plus I used vallejo pigment green earth over it for the dust

I went in one before Christmas to get basses, I'd bought model railway light up Street lamps for a Christmas village, needed basses to free stand them lol.
I remember going into their first shop in London when they first started, they used to sell Ral Parther products amongst other things. I believe Ral Parther are still going, I think in the states, they do paint, wonder how that compares.

Mick.
Wow that's a blast from the past, I remember Ral Parther on some of the older lines (this in the late 90s. Also there were still marauder miniatures models back then.

I mainly use the washes from them as they are quite good other than that I use a nice of paints but since them pictures I added some unit markings. I'm now waiting for some more tanks to arrive tomorrow to do another M50 and a M41 then might leave the tamiya M51 and get a Hooben T-55
